Create your own ceremonial drum in a sacred way at this
1-day workshop led by Julie Lange Groth, shamanic practitioner, ceremonialist and teacher. Through journeywork, ritual and ceremony you will make a sturdy, single-headed frame drum and beater, meet and honor the spirit of your drum and celebrate its birth.
So that you can choose the size of your own drum and the materials it is made from, you will need to order your own kit beforehand from your choice of recommended sources. Materials will be available at the workshop to embellish your drum, and you may bring special feathers or decorative items of your own.
Shamanic journey skills are helpful but not required. If you would like to learn how to journey beforehand, contact Julie for instruction.
What to bring:
~Your drum making materials
~An old towel
~A mallet and awl if the holes are not already punched in your drum skin
~Blanket to lie on, eye shade or bandanna
~Notebook or journal and pen
~Lunch, snacks and beverages for yourself
Sources for drum making materials
